Nevins Library

All three of us sisters are used to having little activities and events we bring our girls to when we are home, so Emily did some research to find out things we could do on our visit to keep our girls busy and add some structure to our day. We decided to try out the children's story time at the Nevins Library. Our local childhood library had undergone a major renovation since we left home and went off to college and got married.

The library has been beautifully renovated and the new blends in pretty seamlessly with the old.

I believe that the children's section is completely new. I love the stained glass windows and the little animal theme they have going on.

The little train set was a big hit with Lucy and Olive.

One of my favorite things is the little cut out animals on the chairs and paw prints engraved on the desks.

But the actual story time was probably the best part. By that time, Maya and Elaine had joined us.
The girls got to play with a giant parachute...

And did some moving and shaking and dancing...

And even got to do a couple little crafts.

We ended with snack time outside and went on our way for more cousin fun.
