Tracy's Wedding Rehearsal 5/18

This is the start of Tracy's wedding weekend - her wedding rehearsal and dinner. Her venue, the Dockside Guest Quarters & Restaurant in York, Maine, was absolutely gorgeous with perfect weather to match. It is located right next to the water in York Harbor and the pictures do little justice in showing just how stunning the views were. While we enjoy majestic mountains in Utah, New Englanders get dazzling water views and trees.

Super cute invitations!
Since I had just arrived in Massachusetts two days earlier, this day would be the first seeing my friends since Betsy's wedding back in November of 2010 (because I missed Melanie's wedding in September 2011):
Flashback to Betsy's wedding November 6, 2010.
The first friends I saw upon arrival were a very pregnant Betsy (who is due later in June) and Julie, both bridesmaids in the wedding.
Chatting and enjoying the view and lovely weather.

While the bridal party rehearsed, I sneaked off with Lauren, my singing partner, into her car to practice our song that we would be singing for the bridal party processional the very next day. Tracy chose the song, For Good, from the musical Wicked for us to sing. Though we both knew the song and had practiced it on our own, this was our first and only day of practice together and needless to say, I was a little worried. But sweet Lauren (one of Tracy's work friends) was as cool as a cucumber and helped calm my troubled nerves and give me a boost of confidence with her kind compliments. You would think that we would take advantage of such technological advances like phones or skype to practice long distance, but alas, we were either too busy or too lazy (sorry Tracy!). But I think it turned out alright in the end.

I didn't end up taking many pictures of the rehearsal since I was off rehearsing myself but I would make up for it the day of the actual wedding (prepare yourself for picture overload - I also snagged some from other facebook pages).
The lovely bridal party made up of Tracy's sister Trina, the three sisters of the groom, and four high school friends (Betsy, Julie, Jamie, & Laura)
The rehearsal was followed by a clam bake at Fosters Downeast Clambake with clam chowder, mussels, and lobster (or chicken for us non-lobster eaters). Although I am always open to trying new food, I don't necessarily always enjoy it. And what can I say - besides clam chowder, I am just not a huge shellfish/crustacean fan. Whenever it is offered, I often try it again to see if my tastes have changed but am just reminded that it doesn't do much for me. So Julie enjoyed my extra mussels (and my alcoholic beverage ticket) with Laura and Lee who sat across from us and I got chicken instead of lobster. We caught up and discussed engaging topics like motherhood, marriage, and geoduck while being entertained by Laura & Lee's son, Kyle.

After dinner, Tracy and Miles proceeded to introduce their wedding party and give out (adorably wrapped) gifts to all involved. Tracy's wedding colors were Tiffany blue with red and white accents.

Even I got a gift - a dainty anchor necklace that tied in so well with Tracy's nautical/Maine theme. However, Lucy has fallen in love with it and it may currently be in her possession right now.

The bridesmaids all received matching cardigans to wear over their bridesmaid dresses in case it got chilly the evening of the wedding with personalized hangers that Tracy made herself! And then depending on the style of bridesmaid dresses, they received jewelry to match. This bride is seriously amazing with the most thoughtful details - really great personal touches.

Before we departed, we got a picture of us girls who were at the rehearsal dinner together. In less than 24 hours, we would soon be joined by the rest of our little group and Tracy would become Mrs. Tracy Page.
